We have the absolute pleasure of leading Mahurangi Vineyard church. The beautiful Mahurangi has been our home for the past 26 years. After a stint of serial renovations we have settled in Algies Bay. We have three wonderful kids - Sam (25) married to our lovely daughter-in-law Kimmy, Anna (24) who is married to our fantastic son-in-law, Keegan, and our gorgeous granddaughter, Laura, and Ethan (21). We also have two terrier dogs - Betty & Gus, which keep life entertaining!!

We found a church family that was kind and welcoming with people who were authentically journeying together as disciples of Jesus

Prior to leading Mahurangi Vineyard church Lyndon worked in and around the horticulture industry.  Being in the garden is still one of his favourite "happy places" along with Gus, his Scottish Terrier.  Angela has had the privilege of being able to work part time from home doing administrative work. An ideal day for her is spent in the kitchen baking up a storm for friends and family.

Our story

Our journey with Vineyard began in 1998 when we settled back in Snells Beach, New Zealand. We found a church family that was kind and welcoming with people who were authentically journeying together as disciples of Jesus. It was then, as it is now a great church for people of all ages and stages of life. Like in any family we pitched in to help out wherever it was needed and in doing so have made lifelong friends.

In 2008 we said yes to God's call for us to lead Mahurangi Vineyard church. 16 years later we continue to say yes to His call and feel privileged to lead such an amazing church family.

One of the best parts of leading Mahurangi Vineyard is getting to know the amazing people that call this their church family.  It is an honour to do life with such an incredible group of people all outworking Jesus' call to "come, follow me".

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

It’s an incredible honor to serve as the Associate Pastor at Mahurangi Vineyard Church. Originally from the mighty Waikato, I moved to Snells Beach at 16 to attend Lifeway College, trading the farmside for the seaside. It was here that I fell in love with a local lass, Grace, who I’m proud to call my wife. Together with our three amazing children—Shiloh, Abriana, and Benaiah—we love calling the Mahurangi community our home. We’re a family fueled by adventure, always ready for a roady to explore God’s breathtaking creation. Our family motto is ‘Kind and Courageous.’

My desire is that in all things we abide in Christ. May the cry of our hearts in every season echo John the Baptist: 'He must become greater; I must become less.' May the name of Jesus abound deeper, wider, higher, and further than ever before in the Church, the Mahurangi community, and our nation. Serving one another in this way is surely the utmost privilege.

WORSHIP PASTOR

Worship is central to who we are as human beings and who we are as followers of Jesus. At Mahurangi Vineyard we value times of sung worship, as there is something really special that happens when we raise our voices - together. We have a heart to create meaningful connection in these times of corporate worship by creating space for the Spirit of God to lead, and for us, His people to respond.

YOUTH PASTOR

G'day! I have the absolute honour of leading the Youth here at Mahurangi Vineyard. I'm an oat mocha drinking, shorts in the winter kinda guy. I like to think I'm a dog person but I was adopted by two cats and am now a sucker for them. My stunning wife Anna, my daughter Kinsley and I live by the beach. Youth Group was a key aspect in my life and faith as a teenager. My goal is to create and foster a space for youth to discover God, build their faith and form lifelong friendships. If you have youth who are keen to join us flick me a line at youth@mahurangivineyard.org

1 Timothy 4:12 – Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity
